A NOTE FROM FEBRUARY 2023 - -

This moving image work was made at a time when I wasn’t in an active state of research or making. In fact, I was feeling disillusioned with participating in what I’d understand now - and not then - to be the arts sector / industry.

I was in the wake of a concentrated period of research on Scotland’s stinkin involvement in Transatlantic Slave Trade. I had just finished my 4 year Undergraduate course: greatful for the access to reasources but worn down by racism. Creatively I was still alive i n s p i t e o f. 

A was happy though. Happy to be out. Seen and seeing. Happy to be held.
