From and living in Glasgow, Scotland, Zoë is an artist-curator working under the artist name, Zoë Zo, Zoë Tumika & Zoë Guthrie.
They engage with clay and image (re)production to process, understand and share articulations of the world around them. Their practice folds deep archival research, curatorial activation, and material engagement into one another.
Frameworks from Black Feminism, Black Geographies and Black Studies inform my approach to narrative building and dismantling; to listening and questioning; and exercising practices towards liberation. Making plays a vital, metabolic mode: moving ideas across mediums to process information and generate meaning.
